Tom Blackmon
Tom Blackmon, a leader in Arkansas' business community, passed away February 11, 2019.
In 1938, Tom's father Eddie started Blackmon Auctions. Tom took over Blackmon Auctions in 1965 and expanded the business from a seasonal to full-time business. He concentrated on selling farm equipment and eventually added construction equipment auctions in the 1970s and trucking, logging, railroad and manufacturing equipment in the 1980s.
During Tom's tenure, Blackmon Auctions transformed from a regional auction business to an auction company with international standing. Tom's son Thomas now heads the company.
