Metso Corporation has announced the delivery of its 100th truck body, marking a significant milestone in its commitment to providing comprehensive payload management solutions. This latest delivery was made to Boliden’s Kevitsa mine in Finland's Sodankylä region.
Metso’s diverse portfolio of truck bodies forms a crucial component of its payload management solutions, aimed at optimizing loading and hauling operations for mining and aggregates customers. These solutions not only enhance operational efficiency but also minimize environmental impact while maximizing the utilization of loaders and haul truck bodies.
The acquisition of Häggblom in 2023 significantly broadened Metso’s range of payload management solutions. This expanded portfolio now encompasses a variety of truck bodies and buckets tailored to different operational needs and business objectives. Additionally, it includes ground engaging tools (GET), durable rubber and metallic truck bed liners, high-resistance wear parts, as well as comprehensive services and repair offerings.
“This expanded portfolio equips us with more mature capability to comprehensively address the holistic loading and hauling needs of customers and to support their sustainability and safety targets. This strategic shift allows us to take on the responsibility of managing customer assets and prioritizing service delivery over mere product transactions,” says Justin Ryan, vice president, material transportation business line, Metso.
The rollout of Metso’s comprehensive loading and hauling solutions is progressing, with initial availability in the Nordics and Europe, followed by Central and South America. A global expansion is planned for subsequent phases, aiming to provide coverage to all markets.
