How to Convert a Final Drive by Changing the Swash Plate
A final drive is a complex part whose internal parts are all designed to work seamlessly together to match exacting specifications and work within distinct measures of performance. While the final drives on most machines share the basics of how they work and how they function, even the slightest differences in their internal parts — from the size of a reduction gear to the slope of a swash plate — can greatly alter how the final drive performs.

Steps To Update Final Drive By Changing Swash Plate
Final drives are capable of working at different speeds. Updating the final drive ensures final drives from H&R match the required performance specifications of the machine in which they will be installed.
The motor valve at the top of the final drive is removed.
The brake piston is removed by directing air pressure into the center of the final drive.
The clutches, cylinder block, and pistons are removed from the interior of the final drive.
The swash plate is removed and then replaced with a new swash plate that will change the speed at which the final drive operates.
The new swash is made at a different angle changing the speed of the final drive.
This ensures the base final drive is compatible with a customer’s machine.
The pistons and cylinder block are placed back into the final drive.
The clutches and brake piston are adjusted on to the final drive.
The motor valve is placed onto the top of the final drive.
The final drive is tested at two speeds to ensure it is in working condition.
