Hiab, a division of Cargotec, has secured a substantial order totaling EUR 7.3 million for WALTCO tail lifts in the United States from a national discount retailer. This significant order was recorded in Cargotec's Q1 2024 orders received, with the majority of the equipment set to be delivered during the first half of 2024.
The WALTCO customer boasts an extensive network of thousands of stores across the United States. The tail lifts, which have been ordered, will undergo installation on trailers by bodybuilders and original equipment manufacturers before being dispatched to the customer. These trailers will serve the crucial function of supplying retail goods to their respective stores.

The WDV railgates are assembled in our Ohio production plant and can be delivered with short lead times to meet our customer demands,” said Director of Business Line Tail Lifts for Hiab, James Peck.
The tail lifts from the WALTCO WDV series are said to provide ease of operation and require minimal maintenance. These tail lifts feature a platform that can be conveniently stored above the rear door during transportation and easily lowered for efficient dock loading. Additionally, they come equipped with safety enhancements such as platform warning lights that activate automatically during operation and a slip-resistant platform.
