Felling Trailers Inc., a manufacturer of industrial and commercial trailers, has appointed Kevin Maves and Carl Thigpen to its outside sales team, expanding its reach in the Western U.S.
Maves will oversee the Southwestern U.S., including California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico, while Thigpen will manage the Northwest U.S., covering Alaska, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, Utah and Colorado. Both are responsible for sales development, activity and dealer support within their respective regions.
Kevin Maves started his career in the equipment industry in 2005 as an inside salesperson for an equipment rental company in Las Vegas. During this time, he honed his sales skills and gained a deep understanding of various businesses' equipment needs. His experience allowed him to build strong client relationships and provide customized rental solutions.
It was during this role that Maves first became familiar with the Felling Trailers brand. After a successful transition into the pharmaceutical industry, Maves returned to the equipment industry, drawn to new challenges at Felling Trailers.
“We are confident that Kevin will play a pivotal role in further expanding our presence in the Southwest region and delivering top-notch service to our valued customers,” Nathan Uphus, sales manager at Felling Trailers said.
Maves expressed his excitement about rejoining the equipment industry, saying, “I am excited to get back into working in the equipment industry and helping provide dealers and customers in the Southwest with the right trailer for their transportation needs.”
Carl Thigpen brings more than three decades of experience in heavy equipment transportation sales and rentals to his role at Felling Trailers. He has held various key roles, including owner, manager, driver and territory manager, where he developed a thorough understanding of the transportation and equipment industries.
Thigpen has built solid relationships, achieved significant market growth and provided product demonstrations and training throughout his career.
"I am no stranger to the Felling Trailers brand; they are quality-built trailers. I have seen friends go from renting a Felling to purchasing one for their fleet. I look forward to working with dealers and end-users to understand their unique needs and provide custom solutions to meet their transportation needs,” Thigpen said.
Uphus also praised Thigpen's addition to the team, saying, “We are excited to have Carl as part of our team. With his extensive experience and dedication to customer satisfaction, we are confident that he will play a key role in driving our sales efforts in the Northwest region.”
