Enerpac Tool Group Corp. has added Madrid-based DTA The Smart Move SA, a company that features prominently in the industrial heavy-load transportation market.
The acquisition, valued at 24 million euros, is part of Enerpac’s strategy to enhance its Heavy Lifting Technology (HLT) portfolio by integrating automated horizontal movement solutions.
DTA specializes in mobile robotic systems, including AGVs (Automatic Guided Vehicles) and ARMs (Automated Mobile Robotics), capable of handling loads up to 600 tons for in factory moves, together with 100 ton load capacity SPMTs (Self-Propelled Modular Transporters) with wireless operation, and industrial drawbar trailers. Its technology supports various industrial sectors such as aerospace, rail, wind and infrastructure.
