Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) unveiled its 2024 Top Performers lists (https://www.abc.org/Membership/Top-Performers), recognizing contractor members for their exceptional achievements in various areas such as safety, quality, inclusion, project excellence and special designations, ranked by work hours.
According to Michael Bellaman, President and CEO of ABC, "These top contractors build the nation’s most enduring, innovative, high-quality construction projects, and their leadership teams and employees have thriving, growth-centric mindsets, strategic plans and goals."
Among the top-performing contractors listed, Turner Industries Group LLC of Baton Rouge, Louisiana secured the No. 1 spot by work hours, followed by Skanska Building Inc. of Franklin, Tennessee; BL Harbert International of Birmingham, Alabama; Brown & Root Industrial Services, also based in Baton Rouge, Louisiana; and Performance Contractors, also headquartered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
ABC also highlighted top-performing contractors based on type of work and market sector. For instance, Turner Industries Group was recognized as the top general contractor, while MMR Constructors Inc. emerged as the top trade contractor and top electrical contractor in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Additionally, TDIndustries Inc. of Dallas secured the top position for plumbing/HVAC contracting, and Lithko Contracting LLC of West Chester, Ohio was recognized as the top specialty contractor.
The announcement also included market sector-specific top performers, with companies excelling in areas such as airport, education, entertainment, government, health care, high tech, hospitality, industrial, infrastructure, military, mixed use, museums/monuments/parks, office, parking, religious, residential, retail and sports complex construction.
