In a significant move towards sustainability, 10 key players in the construction equipment sector have banded together to establish the Community of Sustainable Equipment Players (CAMD). This collaboration, born from the Sustainable Equipment Meetings, aims to drive environmental change within the industry by leveraging collective expertise and resources.
Comprising prominent names such as Bouygues Construction, Colas, Eiffage, Haulotte, JCB, Kiloutou, Manitou Group, NGE, Salti, and Volvo, CAMD is committed to reshaping the construction equipment landscape. Under the leadership of Olivier Colleau, CEO of Kiloutou, along with vice-chairmen Michel Denis and Patrick N'Kodia, CAMD sets forth five pivotal objectives:
These objectives will be overseen by an Operational Committee, comprising representatives from each member company, tasked with spearheading cross-functional projects and navigating regulatory landscapes. Notably, CAMD's efforts extend beyond internal initiatives, with plans to host major events such as the upcoming Sustainable Equipment Meetings on Sept. 24.
At its core, CAMD embodies a collaborative spirit, pooling efforts and insights to accelerate the industry's environmental transformation. The knowledge generated through CAMD's endeavors will be shared among members, empowering individual and collective roadmaps for sector decarbonization.
